Nowadays flying represents the fastest, the safest and most efficient way of travelling medium and big distances. And even if planes hugely reduced the time people had to spend in order to get from one point to another, it is in our human nature to always ask for more speed so that everything will be done faster.
Let's take the case of a busy person that has to travel a lot due to the nature of his work. For him it is extremely important to know when the plane takes off and how much time he will spend in the air before reaching the destination in order to precisely plan his agenda.
You might say that in essence it is pretty easy to find out information on flight times. Generally they are written on the ticket you need in order to board the plane. However, there are also other methods of finding out how much time you are going to spend on the plane. You can phone the airplane company and ask them or you can simply visit one of the numerous sites that offer information on just about any flight you may be interested in.
As you probably already know, despite the fact that the airplane is the safest travelling method, a lot of things can happen on distances of thousands of kilometers. This is why flight times cannot be respected in all situations, even if the delays are usually no bigger than a couple of minutes.
